This woman is collecting natural fibres called “zozora” to feed her animals.
Madagascar has a number of natural resources, including graphite, chromite, coal, bauxite, rare Earth elements, quartz, tar sands, semi-precious stones, mica and RAFFIA. Lucky us!!!!
Raphia Farinifera, raffia or raphia, fibre obtained from the raffia palm of Madagascar, exported for various uses, such as tying up plants that require support, binding together vegetables to be marketed, and weaving baskets, hats, and mats.
