Beautifully hand made in Madagascar for you

As part of our mission towards creating a sustainable and ethical brand, we operate based on a no stock policy, meaning each and every item we sell is woven to order for our wonderful customers.
In the same way, we are also committed to minimising our carbon footprint. As we receive orders from all over the world, we have found that the best way to honour this commitment is to
ship directly from Madagascar. For these reasons, shipping can take 2-3 weeks. We appreciate your patience and support.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Where are Made in Mada products made?
Every piece is handwoven in Madagascar by local artisans. Our workshops are  located in the north-western part of the island, near the raffia palm forests.

   What is raffia?
Raffia is a natural fibre extracted from the leaves of the Raphia farinifera palm, which grows wild in Madagascar’s tropical rainforests. It is soft, strong, biodegradable and has been used for weaving by Madagascan communities for generations.

   How long does shipping take?
All our pieces are woven to order and shipped directly from Madagascar. Delivery takes 2 to 3 weeks worldwide.

   Are the products sustainable?
Yes. The raffia we use is naturally sourced, biodegradable and harvested in a way that benefits the forest. We operate on a no-stock model, which means nothing is overproduced. We also ship direct from Madagascar to reduce the number of transit stops.

   Can I become a stockist?
We currently supply over 250 stores in Australia, New Zealand, France, Japan, Spain, Greece and the UK. If you’d like to carry Made in Mada, you can apply via our Become a Stockist page.
