These bags exist nowhere in a warehouse. Each one is woven after your order is received, by Madagascan artisans whose craft has been passed down through generations. The raffia we use grows in the tropical forests of north-western Madagascar. Once harvested, dried and hand-dyed, the fibre passes through the fingers of these women who build each piece stitch by stitch, without a machine. Our bag range covers every use, the large beach tote, the everyday market bag, the evening clutch, the structured piece that stands up on its own. Shapes, colours and finishes vary from one collection to the next, but one thing never changes: the natural texture of the raffia and the time someone put into making what you are about to carry. Every order ships directly from Madagascar. Delivery takes two to three weeks, the time it takes to do things properly.
